FAQ

  • What are the tubing and cannula lengths?

    There are three tubing lengths available, 18 inch (46cm), 23 inch (58cm) and 32 inch (81cm) and two cannula lengths - 6mm and 9mm.

    • The 6 mm length cannula is suitable for lean individuals.
    • The 9 mm cannula is suitable for both children and adults of average to above average build.
  • Is there something to help with insertion?

    The mio™ has an “all-in-one” design, which means it includes the infusion set and a disposable insertion device.

    The insertion device has been designed to provide:

    • Comfortable, virtually painless insertions
    • Consistent insertion depth every time for optimal insulin absorption
    • Better access to awkward, hard-to-reach infusion sites on the body
    • Convenience and ease of use with having the insertion device incorporated as part of the infusion set
  • Who is the mio™ recommended for?

    The mio™ is recommended for children and young adults, as well as people who have active lifestyles. It combines convenience and ease of use with maximum comfort.

    • The 9 mm cannula is suitable for both children and adults of average to above average build;
    • The 6mm may be more comfortable for children and lean adults*
  • How often should I change my infusion set?

    You should change your infusion set at least every 3 days. Frequent changing of your infusion set and rotation of your infusion site can help keep your skin healthy. For more tips on infusion site management, click here.
