What are the tubing and cannula lengths?

There are four tubing lengths available, 45cm (18 inch) ,60cm (23 inch), 80cm (32 inch) and 110cm (43 inch) and two cannula lengths, 13mm and 17mm.

With a variable angle insertion option, the 13mm cannula Silhouette® infusion set is generally good for extra lean adults or even some children who have less depth to their body fat in which to place the cannula.

The standard 17mm length is best for most adults and those with type 2 diabetes.

What if I need help with insertion?

The Sil-serter™ insertion device is designed for use only with the Silhouette® infusion set making insertions quick, easy and virtually painless. We've designed the Sil-serter™ to provide:

• Consistent insertion depth and angle for optimal insulin absorption
• Virtually painless insertions
• Better access to awkward, hard-to-reach areas

How often should I change my infusion set?

You should change your infusion set at least every 3 days. Frequent changing of your infusion set and rotation of your infusion site areas can help keep your skin healthy. For more tips on infusion site management, click here.
