With 0% down, the cost for the pump and supplies is as low as $5.35 a day. Medtronic offers several payment plan options, with down payments as low as $0, to help to make using an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) affordable.

Many private and group health insurance plans cover insulin pumps and/or insulin pump supplies:

  • Check your plan to see if you qualify; some provincial plans may cover insulin pump technology.
  • Call the Medtronic Reimbursement Assistance Centre at 1-866-401-8323, or enrol online at www.medtronic.racentre.ca.

You may be eligible for federal or provincial tax credits and may be able to claim any out-of-pocket pump and supply costs on your annual tax return.

What happens if I need help after I start using the MiniMed Paradigm® REAL-Time System?
Medtronic provides ongoing support to all Medtronic Canadian pump users. If you have any questions after you get started, call the Canadian Customer Care Line at 1-800-284-4416 available between 8:30 AM till 4:30PM EST.* Our staff of support professionals and dedicated diabetes nurses and specialists provide a number of free services to help to get you comfortable with you insulin pump.

What happens if I have a problem with my MiniMed Paradigm® REAL-Time System?
Our replacement service will ensure that you receive a replacement pump as soon as possible.

Can I upgrade when new technology becomes available?

Absolutely! The Pathway Program, is an in-warranty upgrade program, that allows you to upgrade your pump when new features become available. You can stay at the forefront of Medtronic diabetes technology, protect yourself against technology obsolescence, and be confident that you have the latest tools to help you. How do I order the MiniMed Paradigm® REAL-Time System?

First, talk to your healthcare professional about insulin pump technology and continuous glucose monitoring. Once your healthcare professional agrees that you can benefit from switching to the MiniMed Paradigm® REAL-Time System, call the Product Info Line at 1-866-444-4649 to order your information package.

Once you receive your MiniMed Paradigm® REAL-Time System, a Medtronic-certified pump trainer will help you to understand how to get started and use, as well as optimize, your system.
