Maria's diabetes story

In better control with her MiniMed® pump since 2012

"I used multiple daily injections for 17 years before I started to think about getting pregnant. My doctor told me I needed to get to lower levels of A1c and achieve to glycemic stability to have a pregnancy free of complications, so he offered me a MiniMed Veo insulin pump. With MDI, my HbA1c was 8.3%, but with pump technology it dropped to 6.4%. Shortly after, I found out I was pregnant. I often joke that our child is the son of my pump. I am very thankful."
